Skingenie Liquid Matte Lipstick Review

I bought these liquid lipstick online because I got curious when they said it is organic and locally made. I purchased two shades: Clueless and Never Been Kissed. The rest of the shades appear dark or red for me so I didn't buy them.

The packaging has a clear plastic wrapper.  They also place an expiry date on the wrapper. It contains 8mL. The list of ingredients is written on the case. It claims that it is cruelty free, paraben free and non toxic.

When applied on the lips it feels cold or minty. You have to wait for 5-10 minutes for sensation to go away. Honestly I cannot use this to my clients since it has a mint feeling which not all people might not like.

The wand is user friendly and easy to swipe.

What's good about this product is that you can put another layer after another without your lips looking weird or flaky. It is transferproof but it is not 'eatproof'.

Before eating
After eating
Since I am acidic. The color darkens after minutes or hours. It darkens all the more if I do another coat.

After over an  hour of wearing it.
Over all I like this liquid lipstick except for the minty feeling.

Rating 1-5, 5 as highest

Review: BYS brow gel

There are few makeup brands and stalls near my area. The nearest is Watsons and Watsons only care very few brands. I was looking for a brow gel or pomade and decided to invest in BYS which costs almost P400.

The packaging makes customers assured that it is not opened or second hand. It is made from China which is I am quite surprised because the saleslady said it is an Australian brand. I still have to check if it is FDA approved.

It is very pigmented. A little product goes a long way. You need to blend it quickly or else it will dry fast. I bought the shade Brunette after the convincing powers of the saleslady that it is the most versatile one. Well I would say it is really dark and appear grayish black in camera.

It is waterproof and does not cause irritation on my eyebrows. I do not use the brush on top of the case. I use an eyebrow angled brush.

I would say I need to buy a better pomade due to color and blending issues.

Rating: 1-5, 5 as highest

Blogapalooza 2017

Blogapalooza is like a job fair for bloggers. Companies promote themselves and try to get bloggers contact information so they can invite them to blogging opportunities. Companies who were present were Rappler, Paymaya, Gomotoph, Trulalu, Paypal, Beauty N Butter, Veer, Victoria's court, Coke studio, Alfox printing, AAP Analytics and Whizer.
Bloggers should be ready with their calling cards and extra eco bag. The freebies were mostly drinks so I gave the others to some bloggers.
It is a fun event as bloggers that I just see online are physically there. You need to be friendly. I approach some of them even if they do not know who I am.
There were also talks about blogging. There were mini games where you can win prizes like candies, tumbler, notepad, pouch, etc.
I will make separate videos about the talks of Instagrammers Louise Delos Reyes, Kim Cruz and Joyce Pring on how to deal with bashers, how they started having followers, etc.
I hope more brands will be there next year.
Watch my vlog below.

Nuvali Field of Lights

For me watching field of lights is better than having fireworks. It is more eco-friendly. You can visit this spectaular lights dispaly at Nuvali infront of Sonelad 2.

What’s your Legacy?

Everyone lives. Everyone dies. However, not everyone leaves a legacy or lives a life that will leave a legacy which is sad because when they are gone, they are easily forgotten. To not be forgotten, you need to live a life that makes a difference in the life of others … to live a life that will be remembered by many with positivity because you did something to inspire them or change their life for the better.

Doc Paolo Bellosillo knows this and believes that people need to live life the best way they possibly can and one of the ways to do this is by living a healthy life coz when you are healthy, you can do more and be more. Doc Pao is an advocate of this because he has seen many people die young or not able to do what they want with life due to health limitations.

To Doc Pao, this is worse than death because you are alive but not able to live fully.
To help you out, we asked Doc Pao Bellosillo to give us not 1, not 2, not 3 but 8 tips to help you start living a life that will leave a legacy.

1.      First, know your limits, live within it and then gauge where you can grow in increments.  Do more with a passion.

2.      In health whether spiritual, physiological or emotional and psychological, know your toxins and get rid of them. Determine your deficiencies and supplement them.
3.      Next serve with a heart of charity.

4.      Give with generosity.

5.      Value life at any crossroad, and protect it, preserve it. From the foods you eat or making sure babies are born into our reality.

6.      Live each day and moment as if it were the last day of your life and do so by creating moments with people you love or even you don't know for God and country.
7.      Just say thank you. It means a lot and goes a long way.

8.      Start listening and then wait for your turn to speak and arrive at a solution.

If you were in a show and God is your audience, make him proud, sing the song and make him feel goosebumps. Play that music and take away His stress.  Smile at Him and smile at others too. For today it's your show so live a life of legacy.

Have a Happy Holidays with Svelt’i

It is indeed the most wonderful time of the year. From frenzied last-minute shopping sprees to multiple Christmas parties, we really can’t deny that the holidays are just around the corner. But, despite all the infectious merriment that the holidays bring, we also cannot deny the fact that all the stress the holiday season brings can absolutely take a toll on your skin with all the late-night partying, non-stop eating, and mad traffic we all have to deal with.
So how do we deal with these skin SOS and still be as glowing and youthful during the holidays?

Always Keep Hydrated

The holidays are the perfect excuse to indulge in booze and stay late at night especially with all the Christmas get-togethers you need to attend. But keep in mind that too much alcohol and less sleep can take a toll on the appearance of your skin. “Skin care addresses two concerns: wellness and aesthetics or our sense of being attractive, that’s why we do have to take care of our skin and not take it for granted most especially during the holidays which can be really stressful,” emphasizes Dr. Lalaine Salazar, Medical Director of the SvelT’i Health and Beauty Centre in Timog Avenue, Quezon City.
Drinking lots of water can help keep your skin hydrated but there are also other ways of doing so.
PURIFY AND NOURISH

No matter how late you come home from a night of drinking and partying, never forget to rid your face first off all the make-up you wore and end your day with nourishing your skin. The thorough cleansing and washing away of make-up before sleeping is also an important part of skin care. To cap the skin care regimen, Dr.Salazar recommends a cleanser that can prevent the onset of pores, blemishes, and acne; it will also improve skin tone and heal any skin inflammation.

After washing your face to get all the make-up gunk off, apply a proper facial serum that provides anti-aging effects accelerated by the climate, stress, and even genetics. “It makes you look youthful and energetic. Our stem cell ampoule also reduces the appearances of fine lines and wrinkles, improves the skin tone, and softens the skin as well.” Says Dr. Salazar.

GIVE YOUR SKIN A DETOX

The holiday season is definitely a time for gift-giving so why not treat yourself by giving your skin a much-deserved detox? Aside from eating healthy and doing a good amount of exercise, you can also gift yourself with a cream that can help bring back the skin glow that was lost during the holiday frenzy.

“Externally, you can apply every morning our massage cream that infuses the skin with collagen. Collagen rejuvenates the skin and makes it appear youthful. Our production of it reduces as we age, but products like the massage cream infuses regular doses of collagen that add that let the skin’s natural glow to shine.”

“Since Christmas is a time for giving, it is high-time that you give yourself the best gift you can have and that is the right skin care regimen. With all the stress you have to deal with during the holiday season, a trip to a skin clinic such as Svelt’i is a great reward for yourself. Do proper skin care daily and you will see the results,” enthuses Dr. Salazar. “To ensure that you are on the right track, you can confirm the methods and outcome of your skin care regimen with clinical specialists who will advise you accordingly. A monthly visit can do wonders for the overall wellness and aesthetic appearance of your skin.”
TREAT YOURSELF

Of course, one of the best skin regimens ever is to stay healthy and keep a positive outlook because it would definitely manifest on your skin. But since it’s the holiday season, why don’t you give yourself a Christmas treat and go all out on skin care? “If you want to reward yourself this Christmas, go for SkinRenew,” says Dr.Salazar. “It works on three levels that really rejuvenates and firms our skin. It exfoliates, infuses, and oxygenates it. Exfoliation removes the dead cells from the skin and replaces them with new fresh ones. Infusion gives the skin cells the nutrients they need to fight disease and the effects of aging. Oxygenation makes the skin vibrant and gives it that youthful glow.” Nothing would be more rewarding than having healthy and glowing skin to welcome 2018, right?

The holiday season may take a toll on your skin but with these holiday skin care tips, you can keep  your skin looking stress-free and beautiful and welcome 2018 with a bang!
