Novuhair Summer Hair Care Tips

Heading to the beach may be the most exciting part of summer. It is almost always part of the itinerary this season for most people. Others prefer to give in to their adrenaline rush climbing that mountain slope or just about anything that gets you that summer tan to fit in the crowd.
Did you know that spending extended hours under the extreme summer sun can pose serious danger to your hair and scalp? The same UV rays that brings damage to your skin without proper protection can equally hurt your hair and scalp.

Below are some of the problems your hair can encounter during the season:

·        Split-Ends - UV rays and extreme high temperature can take their toll on your strands. The heat drains the moisture of your hair out causing breakage.

·        Double Trouble – Rebonded or permed hair needs extra attention as high temperature well as humidity disrupts the cuticle breaking some of the chemical bonds that keep the hair straight or curls and roughing up the cuticle, taking away shine and smoothness.

·        Scalp problem – Scalp may also get sun-burned if you don’t use cover-ups for your head.

·        Grease problem – Summer sun and humidity can bring extra grease on your hair, leaving it vulnerable to damage.

·        Chlorine Stress – Swimming in the pool subjects your hair to chlorine.  The outer layers of the cuticle of the hair opens up when you swim and chlorinated water seeps into the center of the hair thus making your hair more brittle.

·        Excessive Salt Water – Salt water can cause the same damage as chlorinated ones. Salt water dries on the hair it creates a high-saline solution which can build up and cause hair to feel dry, weighed down and hard to manage.

All these problem can be addressed by keeping your hair clean and showered after each activities. Take vitamin supplements that benefits you hair such as Vitamin C and Biotin. Getting your hair pampered will also give respite to the sun and chemical abuse.

Photo from ibtimes.com

Minsan may change in stage design pa, yung may mga umiikot ikot pa. May mash ups pa, medley, madaming back up dancers, etc.

Halos walang back up dancers. Yung mga solo lang ang may back up dancers ex. Psy nung One Korea Global Peace concert.

Ang mahal kaya at pinag hirapan talaga iset up.

(the feels)

First time ko makasakay ng eroplano noon.

Herbalife Nutrition Study Reveals Alarming Lack of Nutrition, Hydration and Exercise Among Adults

Herbalife, a global nutrition company, has released the findings from its Asia Pacific Balanced Nutrition Survey1, which focuses on shedding light on nutrition and health habits, behaviors and attitudes of consumers aged 18 and above.  The survey is an element of the seventh Herbalife Asia Pacific Wellness Tour, seeking to inspire consumers to adopt balanced nutrition habits and reinforce its impact to long-term health and wellbeing. According to survey findings, 8 in 10 (78%) of Filipino consumers are eating less than half of the daily recommended serving of fruits and vegetables, 4 in 10 (41%) do not drink enough water, and more than half (59%) do not get enough exercise.

While 6 in 10 (60%) of consumers in the Philippines believe that ensuring their body gets the sufficient nutrients to function optimally was the greatest motivator to adopting a balanced diet, modern, fast-paced lifestyles make it increasingly challenging to incorporate healthy nutrition habits into daily lives.

The study revealed that 6 in 10 (57%) respondents in the Philippines found having a daily balanced nutrition approach to be challenging, citing the lack of time, money, and motivation to be the top three obstacles preventing them from having a healthier lifestyle.

Additionally, the Philippines survey findings revealed the following:
8 in 10 (78%) consumers claimed to consume 0 to 2 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, below the recommended 5 servings per day
4 in 10 (41%) consume less than the recommended 8 glasses of water/fluids per day
Over half (59%) achieve less than 1 hour of physical activity per day, with 10% having no physical activity at all
The top 3 motivations to adopting balanced nutrition are sufficient nutrients to function optimally (60%), to prevent health related problems and complications (51%) and to maintain ideal body weight to prevent obesity-related health problems (39%)
The top 3 obstacles to a daily nutrition approach are lack of time (57%), lack of money (53%), and lack of motivation (45%).
To help consumers improve their nutrition habits:
o 7 in 10 (67%) of respondents feel that having an easier access to healthier food choices would help them adopt a balanced nutrition approach.
o 4 in 10 (37%) of respondents look for like-minded people to make healthier food choices together
o 4 in 10 (42%) of respondents seek expert advice for a personalized nutrition plan
When asked about what would help them achieve their balanced nutrition and exercise goals, most of the respondents agreed that balanced nutrition and community support approach, such as that exhibited at Herbalife Independent Nutrition Clubs, would improve personal well-being in the long run.
“As a global nutrition company, Herbalife Nutrition is committed to helping consumers adopt balanced nutrition habits, so that they can have a positive impact on their lives in the long run,” said Mr. Rosalio Valenzuela, general manager of Herbalife Philippines.
1Herbalife’s Asia Pacific Balanced Nutrition Survey was conducted in March 2017 with 500 respondents aged 18 years of age in the Philippines.

Fashion 21 vs. Nichido Contour Palette

Last few days Fashion 21 cosmetics released a contour palette with two contour shades and one highlighter. I was so excited because last March I asked the counter in one of their stores in a SM branch if they are have contour palette. The saleslady said Fashion 21 will come up with one soon.

Fashion 21 contour palette swatch
The lighter brown shade has a pinkish tone. I think this is good for people with fair skin or maputi. All colors have shimmer particles that are quite big. I thought they released a matte one. There is actually the highlighter swatch at the right side of the darkest shade. The highlighter is powdery and its shimmer doesn't stick on the skin or isn't obvious enough. Maybe you can use the highlighter as an eyeshadow instead.

If you take a picture using a smartphone you cannot see the shimmer but in real life there is shimmer. I didn't take a close up picture. I was actually in the mall to look for the foundations because of the sale.

Photo: From Fashion 21 Facebook page

Beside Fashion 21 stall is the Nichido stall so I went there and compared the two.

The difference is that the lightest shade of the Fashion 21 contour palette is darker than the lightest shade of Nichido palette. The darkest shade of the Fashion 21 contour palette is darker than the darkest shade of Nichido palette. Nichido's shade in the middle is more of yellow tone.

Nichido contour swatches

When I tried to rub the swatches of Fashion 21 and Nichido, Fashion 21 contour swatches isn't affected that much or the color didn't get too much lighter. Nichido contour palette is also powdery but has smaller shimmer particles than that of Fashion 21.

For the price of P300+ I think both palettes are affordable since the size is quite big and not like an eyeshadow pot size.

The gift of healthy ‘crowning glory’ fit for the queen this Mother’s Day

CLICHE it may be, but there’s indeed a woman behind the person we are today. And that’s no less than her—our mother. We used to call her nanayinay‘naymama, mommy or simply mom. Needless to say, she deserves more than that given the pivotal role she fulfills in rearing us from childhood to adulthood and possibly for the rest of our lives.

There may be opposing beliefs whether that greater maternal instinct is biologically predetermined or socially imposed, but everyone would agree that a mother is hardwired to love and care about the whole family, especially the children, all the time. For better or worse, it’s always the welfare of everyone at home on top of her priority.

No wonder she’s an epitome of a doting human being that touches everybody’s life. So, it’s but right to honor and return all the favors she has done for us. And what a better way to do this than this Mother’s Day.

Still drooling over the ways on how to spend this time of the year again with her? Well, you may opt for the basics of gift-giving from simple trinkets to expensive items. But take note, your appreciation of her is not equated by the tag price of your present. It’s the thought that counts, as an adage says.

You may consider a set of hankies that will bring back the memory of her wiping out her tears of happiness upon knowing that she’s conceiving a li’l creature inside her womb. That’s you, of course. A loose yet comfy clothes shall make her remember that sort of a duster or preggy dress she wore in the laborious yet exciting “nine months” of gestation.

Why not a pillow that she could hug as tight as she embraced you after giving birth, or maybe a brassiere for protection of the very bosom she fed you with during infancy? A bed will bring to her mind your tot years when you started to crawl and roll over it freely.

Shoes are a girl’s best friend, too, like your mom. Either sky-high heels or flattering flats, there’s a pair to match every bit of her fantasy. For as long as it brings comfort to her feet, it's more than enough to reciprocate the ease you had when you took your first walk with her guidance back then. If it isn’t her thing, though, a flip-flop will cause her to think that she also disciplined you through the proverbial “rule of slipper” hit on your buttocks while you were growing up.

Much to her delight, a bling ring will be worthy of your dear investment to show your deep appreciation of her just like when she never failed to recognize you with a pat on the back for simple good deeds or a job well done in your lifetime.

Stuck for an idea yet? Here’s a simple but meaningful token of gratitude that for sure will make a big difference and, eventually, pull off a surprise for the celebrant herself: The NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 pack which includes the topical scalp lotion, herbal shampoo and conditioner. Yes, you read it right.

Still not convinced enough, why don’t you spray a liberal amount of NOVUHAIR topical scalp lotion onto your mom’s scalp and massage it for five to ten minutes. You may not even know that with such a plain gesture of yours, it can melt her heart as it reminds her of the past when she used to do the same thing while you were still young, either as a trick to put you easily on a slumber or merely a relief every time you got sick. Those caressing hands of yours, likewise, imbibe your act of giving back the “natural care from mothers” like her.

Whatever impression it may have on her, what’s tangible she could gain is that you’re giving her nature’s gift of health. NOVUHAIR Topical Scalp Lotion is so unique that it combines 19 natural herbs, essential oils and co-factor nutrients––all working synergistically to help address hair problems from growth to vanishing. This breakthrough product helps to rejuvenate, nourish and maintain the moist of her tress from root to tip, aids in stimulating the growth of her hair and helps prevent it from excessive falling, while improving the overall appearance.

More than anything else, NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 pack may be one of the most precious gifts that your mom could ever receive in her entire life. Well, she’s the most important woman in your life after all. Hence, she deserves to be treated like a queen with that vibrant, bouncy and shiny “crowning glory.”

NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 pack is beyond compare. So, don’t think twice to wrap it as your present for her this Mother’s Day and, if ever, for life. Head on to any Mercury Drug and other leading drugstores to get a dose of nature’s answer to hair loss.  For inquiries, call 413-6570 or 0922-8830575, and visit www.novuhair.com for more details. Birthday Greetings 2017

Thank you to all who greeted me especially to the companies which I am one of their affiliates. Today I am happy but I am more focused on working, learning new things and thinking how to earn more. haha I am a futuristic person. When we are younger we are happy with the material things and also we count how many people greeted us or how many gifts we have or how many food we bought and cooked for our birthday. For me as I age it just seems to be an ordinary day. ^_^

Odette Cagandahan Gallery

I visited Ms. Odette's gallery/exhibit last month. She was featured in the Pinoy Got Talent when she did a painting of singer Gary V. while dancing.

She paints portraits of famous celebrities and public figure like Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, President Duterte, etc.

She also has sculptures that are colorful.

I like this painting because of the cute faces of the women and the colorful dresses they wear.

I wasn't able to see the glow in the dark paintings. There were at the black cloth. I didn't know there is a passage in that area. You can see in the video the black cloth at the back of Marilyn Monroe portrait/painting. This video is also uploaded in my Facebook page.

Indeed Filipino talent is amazing.
